SOMETHING WARM….
It’s been a “crafty” winter with lots of nice things in the making….some finished, some laid aside until a later date, or next Christmas….. This is a nice little hat that Margy made. The pattern comes with a scarf and I think it would be lovely to wear it as a set.I don’t know if it was the color but Gemma (10 years old) named the hat “Pond of Warts”. Not very flattering. 😕 Does kind of look warty though, doesn’t it? Here it is with the scarf, too. Click here to get the pattern. Subscribe to Crochet World for other terrific patterns….each month! We love this magazine!
SOMETHING YUMMY…..
We usually have a house full after 9 am Mass Sunday morning. We were on the ball this last Sunday (doesn’t happen too often) and had quiche baking in the oven when we got home, along with Rosie’s wonderful cinnamon rolls she had made the day before! She uses floss or thread to cut the cinnamon rolls.Someone is getting a headache because he has to wait until they cook!
The recipe for the Betty Crocker Sticky Buns is here.
SOMETHING LOVELY
The girls love to do hair and therefore we have some good hair days around here!
Here is a link to a lovely Etsy Shop called The Honeycomb I thought you might enjoy! What beautiful work she does!
SOMETHING FUNNY…..
We also have VERY BAD hair days.I asked Gemma for a tutorial but she said it’s a family secret.
Thanks, Gemma, for providing this picture for us and for, well…just being you! 😀

I love the popcorn stitch! Very cute hat, and practical too.
The cinnamon rolls look wonderful – a comfort food, for sure!
Having 5 girls myself (19 yrs – 26 yrs), we know all about good & bad hair days! : )
Ah yes….girls bring all sorts of interesting moments into our lives! Thank you for your comment, Kam!
Has anyone tried knitting (with their arms) an infinity scarf? With a little practice, they can be made in 30 minutes. My daughter and I made one each last weekend. It was fun (and quick)!
Send us a link, Kam! 🙂

My sister-in-law gave out 2 skeins of yarn for Christmas to make our own Infinity Scarf. It was a neat Christmas gift idea.
The Hometown USA, Lion Brand Yarns (Super Bulky) is the best to use: thick and soft! Making it for the first time may test your patience, but it WILL make you stronger! : ) Truly, it is easy once you get the hang of it!
Thank you for this Kam!
Rachel LOVES Gemma’s hair. LOL She said she wants to have Gemma fix her hair the next time she comes over. LOL
Haha! It was quite astonishing when we saw it. She wore her new hairdo around the house as if it was the most natural thing in the world….
That’s hilarious! I used to do stuff like that all the time to my parents… great minds think alike! LOL
