Happy January!! I hope your Christmas season has been blessed as everything is settling back into routine after the holidays! 🙂 <3
A Give-Away!
Today, I would like to offer you a Give-Away!
This is a handcrafted rosary bracelet. It is made with genuine garnet gemstones and freshwater pearls.
The thing I love about this bracelet is that it is the WHOLE rosary, not just a decade! I wear mine all the time!
This rosary has been blessed and therefore has all the indulgences attached to it!
Also included is a lovely Ribbon Ginjen Flower Accessory handcrafted by my daughter Jeanette! (The amount of work that goes into each of the petals is admirable as she cuts, burns, folds and glues each piece of ribbon!)
These two lovely gifts (that will bring a smile to your face during these cold January days) will be given to the person whose name is pulled from the “hat”!
Just leave a comment here on the blog. It is always nice to hear from you! 🙂
I will pick the winner January 29th!!
The following is a gallery of some doings over the last 3 or 4 weeks I thought you might like.
Click on the first picture to view the gallery:
- We were so blessed to have Father come and do another Mass for us so Rosie could attend!
- It was the feast of St. Thomas, the apostle, so the red vestments looked very festive with all the Christmas decorations!
- Our good firend, Matt, served for Father Kodet.
- The last blessing.
- Making music with Father.
- I was thrilled when hubby surprised us with this lovely tree and all the “trimmings” for Christmas! He purchased the beautiful ribbon snowflake flowers from our daughter, Virginia, to decorate the little tree. They are so intricate and beautiful and will be used for Christmases to come! <3
- It is fascinating to see these flowers emerge from a spool of ribbon!
- My favorite one!
- This is the beautiful tree topper Virginia made for the little tree!
- Virginia’s lovely house during the Christmas season!
- Grandchildren Benjamin and Nathaniel!
- Little Emma
- Virginia’s tarts!
- After Midinight Mass…..
- Feasting after Midnight Mass!
- We didn’t get snow for Christmas but woke up to this lovely hoar frost. A very nice Christmassy surprise!
- We were waiting for hubby so we could open our gifts. He was outside sitting amidst the frost dirinking his Verve (healthy energy drink) and praying the rosary….two of his favorite things!!
- One last picture before we tear into the gifts!
- Every year, Daddio either reads the Christmas Story from the Bible or gives us a little talk before the opening of the gifts. Paul offered to come over and make brecky so he is busy in the background.
- Brendan is ALMOST ready for Christmas Mass!
- Our good friend, Dave, and daughter, Theresa.
- Rosie, Nathaniel and Adrian.
- Dominic and Sarah….
- Mike and Jeanette
- Christmas colors! Theresa, myself and Jeanette…..How did they get so tall??
- Erni was visiting from Texas for Christmas!
- Good times!
- Playing games….our favorite pastime!
- <3
- Little Jacob.
- Lovely Ginjen Rebbon Flowers by Gin or Jeanette!
- Ummmm. Kansas Snowman??
- Gingerbread Cookies! We had the grandchildren over on Epiphany for a little celebration!
- We made cookies, played musical chairs and then watched a little CCC Saint cartoon. The kids were thrilled!
- Rosie loves to do hair!
- She has been asked to do all the hair for Dom and Sarah’s wedding…..
- Nice hairdo!
- Best Cuz’s! Felicity and Margy
- It’s a guy thing…. 😛
- Devin and Adrian
- Grandma and Agnes
- Margy did this painting for her brother-in-law, Vinnie, for his birthday!
- She did this one for her brother, Colin. Very nice!!
- Three Little Kings
- Devin and Theresa
- Epiphany Blessing! I always feel so very privileged that our priests are willing to come out to the houses to do this blessing!
- Our Faith is so beautifully rich!
- Adrian likes to skooch under the couch until just his little head is poking out!
- This is our “mud room” and the kids are having a heyday cooking over the wood stove!
- Sweet family…doing the most powerful thing they can do to make their family a happy one! 🙂
What a lovely give-away! The two items are exquisite! I signed up to receive your blog by email a couple of months ago and have found your book excerpts so refreshing for my spiritual life. Thank you for all the work you do.
Thank you so much for your posts and pictures of your thoughts on faith and family!
Lovely items for the drawing – thank you. Is this rosary bracelet one of a kind or will you have it in your shop for those of us who don’t win the drawing?
Hi Lisa, I have several made. I have been slow at getting them on the shop. I hope to work on that very soon. Thanks for asking! It will motivate me. 🙂
The bracelet is very beautiful. I check your site every day and tell others about it. I find that it is geared more towards younger women but that is o.k. Younger women really need to get in touch with more traditional living. Our world is totally lacking all tradition. It is so true that your site is all about being a Catholic woman trying to live in an un-Catholic world. That is a perfect name for your website. God Bless all who are responsible for this lovely site.
The bracelet is beautiful, and so are the flowers/snowflakes. What a lot of talent in your family. The photos are always fun! Thanks for the blog–it’s very inspirational in so many ways. God bless the whole family!
Awesome pictures!!! Thanks for sharing!:) The bracelet and flower are beautiful!! I wouldn’t mind adding them to my collection;)
Wow! Super pretty!
I really like the garnet color and pearl combination.
So pretty! Please let me know when you have bracelets like this up in your shop!
I have been enjoying your blog for a few months. I am so happy to have found it. Your give-aways are beautiful. I would love to win! Blessings to you and your lovely family.
Stunning! So pleased to have found your blog. You’ve hadsome beautiful lessons for me on my toughest days.
Would certainly enjoy the two beautiful pieces in your give away. Thank you for the opportunity
Just recently found your blog, so very helpful for a trad catholic mother, who does not have the support of other traditional women around her. Uplifting advice to help me keep trucking along
Thank you for sharing your beautiful family pictures. The rosary bracelet would be a lovely practical reminder to wear on the wrist.
Thank you!
All those sweet babies and time to make beautiful memories and fun hobbies – what joy!
So cute!
