The following are a few pictures of the rose bushes and the other flowers beginning to burst into bloom around here. It is such a lovely time of the year!
I hope some way, somehow you are able to plant a flower or two this season.
I love this quote from My Prayer Book by Father Lasance:
“I have always noticed that wherever you find flowers, no matter whether in a garret or in a palace, it is a pretty sure sign that there is an inner refinement of which the world is not cognizant. I have seen flowers cultivated and cherished by some of the lowest and poorest of people. Where these emblems of purity are found, you may rest assured that they represent a hope, and speak of a goodness of heart not to be found where they are absent.”

A little piece of Paradise!
There is so much that reminds me of how the past may have looked in a Catholic home and community with friends and family. It is a breathe of fresh air in so many respects I couldn’t list them all. 🙂 The flowers are lovely and the dainty red “rose” holding a tea cup is very pretty too! 😉
Thank you for answering that question yesterday. I appreciate it so here is another. Has Virginia or anyone there ever looked into embroidery machines, and if so, would they mind writing me and letting me know their thoughts on these machines? Thank you and have a blest day! 🙂
Thank you Mary. 🙂 Virginia said if she was to buy an embroidery machine, she would get the Bernina brand.. She doesn’t know a whole lot about them, though.
Such lovely flower gardens!
Thes photos are very inspiring. Thank you for sharing them!
