Lent is slowly coming to a close. Many of our couples and guys have been taking part in the Exodus 90 program which started in January….shortly after Epiphany. So it has been a long haul of cold showers, no snacks, no sweets, no unnecessary internet, fasting, meditation, etc. It is very rewarding…..and how happy they are when Easter arrives!
Below is a gallery of some our doings this last month.
Click on the first picture to view the gallery….
- Peter is standing guard!
- St. Patrick’s Day at Theresa’s
- St. Patrick’s Day at Jeanette’s
- A little face painting for Magdalene
- And a little face painting for Agnes.
- St. Patrick’s Day at Gin’s
- Hubby’s bunny got out and was being chased by the dog. Hannah rescued it.
- The top of one of the batches of soap Theresa made.
- It is Rosemary Mint.
- Her soaps are lovely….sudsy, smooth and moisturizing!
- Here is her coffee soap bar.
- She has a bunch curing. I hope to have some on our Etsy Shop in the future.
- Juliette will be Gin’s little seamstress.
- She really gets a kick out of the new and pretty apron fabric.
- Look, Mom! A new outfit!
- Anne’s new ‘do!
- Angelo is repainting an older statue of Our Lady
- Eyebrows next…
- Grandma’s gravesite. Our son is making the headstone. Mom loved Birds of Paradise flowers and so that is what is displayed…
- David and Margy. Margy is due the end of April. She has been eating a strict diet to keep her gestational diabetes in check. It’s working.
- Ethan is modeling his new moustache!
- Juliette is going for a ride.
- A quick snapshot!
- Juliette and Emma
- Benjamin and Antonio (Vin and Gin’s boys) got confirmed.
- Happy boys! Soldiers of Jesus Christ!
- Agnes and her chicken.
- Peter and Anne take a ride.
- Benjamin and Anne. The boys take very good care of their sister.
- Edward is making a Keto meal for his mom and dad.
- Theresa’s Way of the Cross….
- Jeanette’s Way of the Cross
- Gemma and Angelo add flowers to the Crown of Thorns.
- 3 sacrifices or 1 BIG one is rewarded by a flower.
- Angelos’ flower.
- Rosie got carried away. 🙂
- Slowly the thorns are getting covered in flowers.
- Gin’s Crown of Thorns
- Jeanette’s Crown of Thorns. As the sacrifices are made, the “thorns” are removed…
- And the Crown is decorated.
- Theresa’s Crown of Thorns is blossoming more each day.
- Gin’s Way of the Cross. She draws the addition each day…
- Colin and Z have over 30 new kids this spring!
- Jacob is looking after a little kid that wasn’t doing well after birth.
- A friend replaced my old chairs with some wood ones. (They broke one of mine playing spoons!)
- So I painted them and put this bicycle stencil on each of them.
- Quite pretty!
- Jeanette gave me this cute gnome for my birthday. I appreciated it. A couple comments included that it reminded them of me….not sure I appreciated that! Haha
- I was given some beautiful roses for my birthday by a friend…
- I snagged Gin to arrange them as my talents do not lie in that direction!
- So pretty!
- St. Anne is surrounded by loveliness!
- Juliette and Peter help Mom.
- Hubby and I went to a restaurant for my birthday. I had to ask for the salt so I could actually taste mine….salt I can taste! Think I will wait to have this dish again until my taste is back!
- Theresa was bringing her kitty to our place so I could cuddle with it a bit. Kitty was NOT impressed!
- Our goddaughter, Serafina, was confirmed this past weekend…
- Hehe

“Do the things you don’t want to do. Do them cheerfully and well. E.Schaeffer wrote, ‘Somebody has to get up early, stay up late, do more than the others, if the human garden is to be a thing of beauty.’ At first glance it doesn’t seem fair, but there are hidden and precious rewards for dying to self and serving. Stomping and self-pity cancel the reward points.” 🙂 -Charlotte Siems

Blessed Mother Graceful Religious Pendant and Earring Sets…Wire-Wrapped, Handcrafted. Get it blessed and use it as a sacramental. Available here.

A masterpiece that combines the visions of four great Catholic mystics into one coherent story on the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Based primarily on the famous revelations of Ven. Anne Catherine Emmerich and Ven. Mary of Agreda, it also includes many episodes described in the writings of St. Bridget of Sweden and St. Elizabeth of Schenau. To read this book, therefore, is to share in the magnificent visions granted to four of the most priviledged souls in the history of the Church.
In complete harmony with the Gospel story, this book reads like a masterfully written novel. It includes such fascinating details as the birth and infancy of Mary, her espousal to St. Joseph and her Assumption into Heaven where she was crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth.
For young and old alike, The Life of Mary As Seen by the Mystics will forever impress the reader with an inspiring and truly unforgettable understanding of the otherwise unknown facts concerning Mary and the Holy Family. Imprimatur.
He was called the man of his age, the voice of his century. His influence towered above that of his contemporaries, and his sanctity moved God himself. Men flocked to him–some in wonder, others in curiosity, but all drawn by the magnetism of his spiritual gianthood. Bernard of Clairvaux–who or what fashioned him to be suitable for his role of counseling Popes, healing schisms, battling errors and filling the world with holy religious and profound spiritual doctrine? Undoubtedly, Bernard is the product of God’s grace. But it is hard to say whether this grace is more evident in Bernard himself or in the extraordinary family in which God choose to situate this dynamic personality. This book is the fascinating account of a family that took seriously the challenge to follow Christ… and to overtake Him. With warmth and realism, Venerable Tescelin, Blesseds Alice, Guy, Gerard, Humbeline, Andrew, Bartholomew, Nivard and St. Bernard step off these pages with the engaging naturalness that atttacks imitation. Here is a book that makes centuries disappear, as each member of this unique family becomes an inspiration in our own quest of overtaking Christ.
