What would happen to America tomorrow if all our children who are educated without God and the moral law suddenly decided to live out their godlessness? The roots of Nazism and every other “ism” are there, if we would but open our eyes.
The way to save America and to be genuinely patriotic is to eradicate from our land that apostasy from God that makes Hitlerism possible. It is not democracies that are right and dictatorships that are wrong, for both can be wrong when both are godless.
What good will it do to defeat Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin — I am sorry to offend the liberals by including Stalin — unless we are prepared to build a different and a better world than the one that is collapsing?
Shall we build another godless world, as we did in 1918, or one in Christ Jesus?
Our call is not to realize certain democratic ideals but to accept the one divine reality. We are not invited to go somewhere but to return to Someone.
America has a body and a soul. Its body is stronger than its soul; its machines more powerful than its will; its trust in preparedness greater than its trust in God. Fear not those who kill the body, but those who can kill the soul.
That is why it is not a single victory America must win but a double one — over the enemy from without and the enemy from within. And this much is absolutely certain: America will never be defeated from without so long as we are not defeated from within.

Satan takes advantage of our fears in such times, and we don’t need that, doing my best to keep him at bay. As always Ven. Fulton Sheen’s words are for all times, just as Our Lord and all of His saints’ words were. When we need wisdom, all we need to do is seek it, and God provides. Through His Words, through Ven. Fulton Sheen, through Leane doing the most honorable footwork/research and desire to bring wisdom, the wisdom she’s already found, to those still looking. You are our wisdom “sleuth” Leane, scoping it out, and then beautifully presenting it to the rest of us. The young ones can benefit greatly, it can perhaps prevent many tears & frustrations. The middle ones can see the mistakes, and with these words of wisdom, figure out how to do “corrections”. For us older ones, we lament not having all this wisdom at the time when we needed them most. But there is a reason and a time for all things. Those of us older ones reading this can share it, just as Leane has shared it with us. Share with our children, grandchildren, other relatives, friends, aquaintances, because now we know. And it’s far too good to keep to ourselves.
