Advent Christmas Cheerful Chats for Catholic Children and Celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas!
Advent & Christmas Cheerful Chats for Catholic Children:
This is a unique book of Advent and Christmas stories and devotions for Catholic children. There is nothing routine and formal about these stories. They are interesting, full of warmth and dipped right out of life. These anecdotes will help children know about God, as each one unfolds a truth about the saints, the Church, the virtues, etc.
These are short faith-filled stories, within the seasons of Advent and Christmas. Each story is followed by a few questions, a prayer, and a short poem enabling the moral of each story to sink into the minds of your little ones.
The stories are only a page long so tired mothers, who still want to give that “tucking in” time a special touch, or pause a brief moment during their busy day to gather her children around her, can feel good about bringing the realities of our faith to the minds of her children in a childlike, (though not childish), way.
There is a small poem and a picture at the end of each story. Through these small stories, parents will sow seeds of our Holy Catholic Faith that will enrich their families!

In this joyful and charming book, Maria Von Trapp (from The Sound of Music) unveils for you the year-round Christian traditions she loved traditions that created for her large family a warm and inviting Catholic home and will do the same for yours.
Mary Reed Newland wrote numerous beloved books for Catholic families, but The Year and Our Children is her undisputed masterpiece. Read it, cherish it, share it, put it into practice and give your kids the gift of a fully lived faith, every day and in every season.

Yes, Advent comes before Christmas! It is so dipicable that companies are pushing christmas stuff so fast back. It’s harder and harder to enjoy the end of the year seasons!
I do enjoy reading more than podcasts, it is generally too busy to listen well, but you have to be more committed to read something.
Thank you!

I love ‘Around the Year,’ it introduced me to living more liturgically! I love learning about all of these traditions that have been forgotten in our materialist culture. Advent is a time of joyful expectation that no secular culture can match!

I made a rule: If I’m scrolling and come across a Finer Feminity email or post, I must stop and read it. Reading Finer Feminity is always more fruitful than mindless scrolling. I always find something delicious to mentally chew on. I will read Finer Feminity out loud to my kids too if they try to interrupt me. They enjoy it too. Thank you for your ministry. I would like yo be entered into the giveaway for your tempting books.
Thank you for the opportunity to enter the giveaway! I would love these for my family!
Wow, I like the idea of the manger in a round table and a tree just in the same place! It allows for all the attention to be focused mainly at the birth of Our Lord plus any gifts can be placed at the bottom of it and not at the tree.
Thank you for that great idea!
Thank you for another wonderful giveaway! Would love these for grandchildren!
I am so thankful for your books and blog. I can always count on them for much needed inspiration.
Beautiful books and ideas for advent! Thank you for the many words of wisdom and faith that you share on this blog. I share them with my adult children, and hoping the become inspired by this site as well. I know I am.
Please pray for one of my adult sons who is in the hospital right now with possible pneumonia.
Prayers! 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for the prayers, they found no pneumonia, just a cold that has caused rib muscle pains from so much coughing. This cold bug we have does not want to leave, it’s hit the 5 of us here at home. God’s Holy Will be done. Things to offer up.
I love how you put so much into your blog. Very informative and such a great resource!
Learning about our Catholic Faith to teach my children. These books look like they’d be helpful in doing that.

Your posts are so inspiring and much needed – I often print them and keep in a binder! Thank you and May God Bless You Abundantly.
I have some Advent traditions and even bought the Maria con Trapp because of your recommendation. I think it’s easy to want to buy more and more books and not always use them. However, I can’t help but be amazed at what God guides me to and I do end up using/teaching to my kids. I wouldn’t mind winning a few more books. 😁
These books look like a lovely way to celebrate Advent & Christmas with the children. They really enjoy both Catholic Mother Goose Books!
Sometimes I wish I could sit down and have a cup of coffee or chai tea with you. I am the mother and grandmother of a large family that comes over for lunch after Mass every Sunday. What a huge blessing! I know you have the same. Married children and still homeschooling others. I enjoy your blog so much! May you have a blessed Advent.
