Last night we got a call at 10:30pm that informed us that Vin and Gin’s house was on fire! It was a total loss.
One of the boys had to throw little David out the second story to another brother waiting to catch him. Then he himself jumped.
It was very scary but they are all safe! Gin is expecting their eleventh baby.
It is devastating to lose your home and your possessions. And harder at Christmas time. Please keep them in your prayers as they navigate this in the following months.
I will be taking Gin’s aprons down from the shop as they were lost in the fire. Also, the Kanzashi flowers. Once she gets her equilibrium, she will be busy doing them once again.
Pray they can locate a place that will house them comfortably enough until….well, whatever happens next.

Praise God they are all alive and fine, and that they’ve raised their boys to be quick thinkers– I can’t think of anything scarier than knowing you’ve got to get the kids out of a fire! We are praying for their beautiful family from Australia and we are so sorry to hear of this tragic loss, but thankful to God it was the house and things and not one of them taken! A miracle! Sending love and prayers!
I am so very very sorry. Thankful to God that all are ok, though, but that is a very tramatic thing to happen, especially while expecting a new baby, may this tragedy not affect Gin and her baby in any bad way concerning her pregnancy. Thanks be to God they all got out in time, but, watching your dreams go up in smoke is very hard. I hope that they can start anew soon, that “all things will work together for good” in their behalf. Guardian angels working overtime that night! I will keep them all in my prayers.

My heart aches for this dear family. I will be offering many prayers and will also contribute.
May they be strengthened through their trials! Good boys, saving their baby brother. A good friend of mine lost everything in a fire several years ago, but the whole family was spared.They were completely able to start anew. May Our Blessed Mother keep them in her mantle. Vin and Gin are traveling the road to Bethlehem…I will pray for them.
